I just want you all to know that fence is the only and best. If you have those collar things like these one dogs on our walks have it is ok, but it is not good for little dogs.. Big loose dogs can just walk in your yard. Now I know I am not alone when I say any big dog that comes in my yard is going to get a whippin to beat all whippin's. I will kill them, I am big, bad, and mean. This presents a problem because I am not really a full sized Pincher Like I think I am. I once was in the front yard and I jumped on the head of a Pitt Bull that was walking by with their human. Mom was so Mad at Dad for having me loose in the front yard. She said I was very lucky that the Pitt Bull was just a puppy and thought I was playing. But I know I whipped him I did.
Once We were in the back yard and a big black lab was loose and he and I threatened each other through the fence, I told him to get away. Mom came out when she heard us and made us go back in the house, he was big enough he could have jumped the fence if he had got mad enough. We still do not get to be loose in the back yard when our humans are not home, we have a big cage in the back yard with a floor and shade and a house and even a roof so we are safe there, so if they go on weekend biker rides we stay there, safe from big dogs. Mom still worries she says, silly Mom. The neighbors watch our water bowls and our food dispenser, They have even been known to throw treats in when no one was looking.
I love my fence, it gives us a place to run and play and poop. We can be out for a while if we want, We can get in the flower beds when no one is looking. We just have it made. I race the neighbor kids, I am so FAST that they can not even beat me when they are on their bicycles. You should have seen this one kid. Mom was on the porch and she heard them. They had a bet going, that the new kid could not beat me to the end of the fence with his bicycle. He LOST. Mom was laughing.. I am so FAST.. That kid saw me and he thought there is no way that little dog can out run my bicycle. I showed him..
We are not even mentioning the dangers of cars and trucks and traffic. So even if you live in the country we can get out on the road and get hit by a car.. We can wonder off and get ate by a coyote, or a hawk. We are your friend, your best buddy, your pal.. Make sure we are as safe as you can make us. If you take risk with our little lives we will do something stupid and then we are gone. Once we are gone you can not take it back. Sure you might have learned and put up a fence for the next one, but that does not help the one you lost. I love my fence, I can still see out, and I am as safe as they can make me without going overboard.
If you are worried about how a fence looks, and you have money, they make fences with glass centers that you can see through, Mom saw them on one of the home shows on TV. You just have post every so many feet with glass in between. Then your yard is still OPEN looking. There is always a way.
